MENU NEXT DOOR

I don’t know who sent it to me but I received an email asking me to go along to find out more about a concept called Menu Next Door.  I  was intrigued.  I went along and was blown away by the passion, positive attitudes, kindness and willingness to share thoughts and ideas (and packaging too) of this wonderful bunch of people!

So what did I do?  I signed up to become a chef!  Along with 9 other people all over London, I am doing a menu for my neighbours today.

I thought I’d get maybe four or five orders from friends but no, my neighbours are actually keen to try my food so I am making 30 three course meals for them and an assortment of friends and family who actually like my chicken rice!

Am I mad? You know what?  It’s going to be an enjoyable experience meeting neighbours whom I’ve nodded greetings to for years and are now communicating through food.  I know they are going to love it because, you guessed it, my Thermomix has given me the confidence to know that everything will go like clockwork and the food will taste perfect because it will be cooked with precison!  And the best thing is my kitchen will not look like a bomb site because the majority of messy prep will be done in the TM5!

To all you lovely chefs at Menu Next Door as I have already said to you, I am an advisor and I urge you to come for a demo or I’ll come to you to see how amazing the TM5 is and how much more pleasurable it will be to cook. Equally importantly, all you Thermomix owners, go find out about Menu Next Door and share the beautiful food you just can’t help but make with your neighbours and let’s put an end to junk food takeaways for our families!
